So who is the “us” behind Cornell’s Country Store?
We’re Bill and Deanna Cornell, proud owners of a family-run business in Clarendon, Texas. Cornell’s Country Store as you know it today opened in 2001, but our story began in 1998 in a small garage behind another family business, Cornell Service Station, where we started Cornell Feed.
Our three children were raised in this store and each took their turn working here. Family has always been at the heart of everything we do.
Locally, many people still call us “the feed store”—and we love that. But if you’ve ever visited, you know we’re so much more.
What started as Bill’s vision for a feed store grew when Deanna decided:
“If I’m going to work in the feed store, I’m going to add some pretty things.”
And just like that, Cornell’s Country Store became a one-stop shop for Southern and country lifestyle living.
